® Frequently Asked Questions:

What is it / what does it do?

HYDRUALIC SYSTEMS LEAK PREVENTER

“SEALEX” is premixed for best results, in a few ounces of the type of oil or fluid in your system and added to the reservoir. The equipment should be put to work as soon as possible so as not to let the product settle. “SEALEX” then begins to flow throughout the system until it encounters the source of the leak. The tiny particles enter the leak path and build on themselves bridging off the gap in the o-ring, gasket or seal. A very simple principle and cost effective saving loss of oil that can cause starvation of oil from moving parts, oil spillage not to mention down time for repairs of equipment.

How do you use it (mix with oil etc.)?

How much do I use?

Typical dosage is 1 vial.

What types of fluids can I mix it with or what can I use it for (engine oil, hydraulic systems, what other car parts, etc.)?

Add “SEALEX” to 5 or 6 oz. of same type of oil or fluid that is now being used in the system (any type of clean glass or metal cup can be used for this).

How much does it cost?

$9.95/vial (Sold in Cases of 12)

What are the benefits?

- A quick and easy fix to problematic fluid systems.
- Saves on costly repairs to equipment.
- Preventive measure for equipment.
- Saves down time caused by equipment failure.
- Inexpensive to use.

NOTE: “SEALEX” should not be used in automatic transmissions or where warranties on equipment may be voided by the manufacturer due to the use of oil additives.

Will it damage my car engine?

“SEALEX” should NOT be used in hydraulic systems where wet disc brakes and/or power shift transmissions are all fed from the one tank. The reason is quite simple in that additives in the hydraulic oil cause it to increase friction when plates of the transmission are engaged. “SEALEX” on the other hand, by it’s nature decreases friction so it should not be used in systems that operates similarly to automatic transmissions.

However, “SEALEX” will work with excellent results in hydrostatic systems such as those found on combines and swathers.

Regarding warranties, Sealweld Corporation would recommend against using “SEALEX” in any machinery that is still under warranty to avoid problems with the manufacturer.
